Call Me Quick Silver...

...or NOT! I am back. Here is the picture I promised. Must I quilt it? Will need backing and batting to complete so I get to procrastinate at least until then. Lucky me!

I do have another quilt top on the horizon. This one is just for fun. Here are a few prospects for inner borders. I will probably have to buy some border fabric. I think that's what's slowing me down. Having to shop for more fabric. I have plenty of fabric, just not the right one. Not that I don't like buying or looking at fabric..it's the trip to get it. Geez, I'm ridiculous!

I am ordering a few kits from Connecting Threads today. I am in the mood to sew, but I don't want to have to find a pattern. I guess a busy lifestyle and creativity is a difficult marriage.

Au revoir, my friend!

  1. That's funny cuz I have been thinking of ordering some kits too! I just think it makes things easier. Don't have to pick out fabic. You know how I don't like doing that!

  2. I really like the quilt on the bed. Love big blocks of color. The other quilt is cute too but there is something about the other one that I like more. Maybe it's because it is on a bed already. Hahaha

  4. I got a few kits ordered. If I like one as much as I like the picture than I will use that one. The colors are bold, bolder fabric than I would buy on my own. I really wanted something LOUD and I guess this was as high as I could reach with what I had.

Connecting Threads kits are inexpensive and their fabric is pretty decent. You know I'm not a fabric snob, so you understand where I am coming from with that comment.

On a sad note, you may have figured out that if I am posting then I am not at the Guild meeting. My dad forgot and they left for a funeral. When we got in the car to roll out I noticed their car was gone. I called to see if they just ran to the market or something, but they were already out of town. My dad felt bad and wanted to come home. By that time, the meeting would be almost over. Yes, I was upset. Really, really had my heart set on going. Maybe next month I will have some Show & Tell. If not, I am happy to show you!

    Peace out, friend.
